Workstudy Program

Not your average work-study.

Studio North’s Workstudy Program offers an unparalleled experience inside one of the world’s top dance studios. By assisting at our front desk and working alongside our leadership team, you’ll gain hands-on experience in studio operations while being an active part of our dance community.

Whether you're a dancer, an aspiring teacher, or just looking to get more involved in the community, this program is a great way to build professional skills that can take you far—both in and out of the dance world. Many of our past workstudy team members have gone on to manage studios, join our faculty, and pursue their dreams as professional dancers.

From Behind The Desk

Take it from our current and past team members.

“As someone not originally from the city, I love that it's an opportunity to get your foot in the door in the dance industry, and make connections with the people that you hope to work with one day. It’s also a program that that offers you accessible training opportunities, which is a huge perk.”

“This job gives you endless opportunities from what you see or expect. Everyone is open to hearing your goals, and not only support but help you achieve them. You really experience the growth individually and in the community.”

K.

“This role is more than just sitting at the front desk. You have the opportunity to build relationships with dancers and teachers, while working in a fast-paced and creative environment. Every day is different, and the workplace is very supportive, professional, and fun.”

J.

“Getting to know the faces that come through our doors and seeing them let loose and shake away a day's worth of stress is such a wholesome feeling. Front desk work is a great way to familiarize yourself with the dance community and make friends while doing so. You learn skills such as time management, customer service expertise, and working as a team in a safe environment.”
