KINAJ

Kin Nguien and AJ Velasco, collectively known as KINAJ, are celebrated for their signature cross-genre dance, blending the raw energy of hip-hop, popping, and house with the elegance of contemporary movement. Their work incorporates improvisation, freestyle, and partnering techniques, resulting in dynamic and innovative performances.

As members of the Canadian Alliance of Dance Artists, KINAJ contributes to the dance community by introducing forward-thinking approaches to art-making and performance while providing resources and opportunities for underserved dancers.

As educators, they emphasize building community and sharing knowledge, encouraging students to become active learners and independent creatives. Their classes challenge dancers both mentally and physically, offering choreography that pushes boundaries.

KINAJ is excited to join the Studio North dance community to teach and train the next generation of dancers, artists and creatives.
